Jean Houghton-Beatty, Author

I was born in Liverpool, England, and moved to the United States after marrying my American husband. We live in Charlotte, North Carolina. After working as a secretary for many years, I attended creative writing courses at Queens College in Charlotte and eventually my first novel, DIFFERENT DRUMMERS, was published. It will be reprinted later this year.
My second published book, STONEY BECK, is now available for purchase at www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnoble.com, and virtually any other book distributor. Below is a short synopsis of my book:
Upon the death of her parents, Jenny Robinson travels from North Carolina to England's Lake District in search of answers to an unfinished note her mother left behind on the night she died. Surprises Jenny never dreamed of, as well as unforeseen connections leading to mortal danger, and romance, await her in the quiet village of Stoney Beck.
I have participated in South Carolina University Spartanburg's Moveable Feast of Authors and have also appeared on USC'S PBS station 'HORIZONS.' I also write short stories and am now working on my third novel.
